Asif Hussain Sheikh of Sindh Building Control Authority SBCA Gadap Town challenges Supreme Court and intelligence agencies

Karachi (T. Shah ) Sindh Building Control Authority SBCA’s blue eyed Director Sami Jalbani and his eye-catcher Asif Hussain Sheikh, took a step forward in creating assets beyond means for not taking action against illegal construction in Gadap Town.

Earlier, SIndh Building Control Authority (SBCA) issued a decree to Asif Hussain Shaikh building inspector cum Assistant director to stop using the post of assistant director and to receive the salary of the post of building inspector, vide Order No: SBCA/DD/admin-P1/2020/375

Not even a year had passed Asif Hussain Sheikkh not only became assistant director again but also Director SBCA Sami Jalbani appointed him on a key position of Asssistant Director to look after the area of Gadap Town. The same area in which the illegal building were collapsed in Sector 4B Surjani. Asif Hussain Sheikh was facing an inquiry and still into inquiry while having the sensitive post in the Authority. Mean while, Illegal constructions are going on in all the listed plots in Gadap Town which may be collapsed at anytime and many lives are under great threat due to dangerous construction without any testing. Following are some of the plots are under illegal constructions-

There are not only violations of SBCO 1979 and Karachi Building and Town Planning Regulations but building materials and quality of construction on these plots are far from being checked by any institution.

Director General Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) Ishaq Khoro, Local Government Secretary Najam Shah and Local Government Minister Nasir Hussain Shah knelt before the corruption of a very power full mastermind A.D Asif Hussain Sheikh. The said Asif Hussain, like in the past, is still under investigation by the Sindh Building Control Authority SBCA for faulty and illegal constructions, but the appointment of Asif Hussain Sheikh Sahib in such a sensitive position by the Sindh government is nothing short of compulsion.

Many illegal constructions have suffered accidents in the past, but these death merchants have fueled the market of corruption. Media reports and social personalities demanded the government to take action against these elements and appealed to Pakistan Army, Inter Services Intelligence (ISI),  Pakistan Rangers Sindh and Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to investigate the elements for using of illegal funds earned by the corruption especially NDMA to be ready to deal with the emergency situation.
