Pakistan and Iran have agreed to promote multifaceted cooperation in different sectors. The understanding to this effect was reached during a meeting between Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervez Malik and Ambassador of Iran to Pakistan Reza Amiri Moghadam in Islamabad today. Matters related to bilateral relations and mutual interest also came under discussion during the meeting. In his remarks, the Iranian Ambassador expressed gratitude to Pakistan’s role in promoting peace and stability in the region saying that Iran is grateful to their Pakistani brothers. He said Pakistan’s efforts for peace are also commendable. Speaking on the occasion, Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervez Malik said Pakistan is committed to promoting peace in the region.
