Pakistan has rejected a misleading statement by an Afghan spokesperson regarding the Istanbul talks. The Ministry of Information said the Afghan Taliban’s representative had distorted the facts of the negotiations. Pakistan called for the arrest of terrorists operating on Afghan soil. The ministry added that Pakistan immediately offered to take custody in response to the Afghan claim. Pakistan’s position remains clear, consistent and on record. False claims against Pakistan are unacceptable, and the Afghan assertions contradict established facts. The ministry emphasised that the handover of terrorists is possible through border entry points. Any contradictory claims were described as baseless and misleading, and Pakistan’s position is being misrepresented.
