Global Commemoration: International Human Rights Day Celebrates 75th Anniversary of Universal Declaration Of Human Rights

Karachi (DP News Exclusive) A prominent journalist, Activist & Chapter Leader Action for Human Rights Pakistan, United for Human Rights and Youth for Human Rights International USA, Syed Talat Abbas Shah  organized a conference and workshop on the 75th Anniversary of United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights at Metropolitan University Karachi.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Speaking at the conference, Syed Talat Abbas Shah proposed achieving the goals of sustainable development of the United Nations, including awareness of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights on the International Day of Human Rights.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This important day provides reflection on the strengths and weaknesses of the international human rights system, how it can be strengthened, and how human rights can guide us as we move forward in the digital age. The event was attended by a large number of students, teachers and journalists along with Leaders of international welfare organizations.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Syed Talat Abbas Shah, Chapter leader of Pakistan Chapter Action for Human Rights of UHR & YHRI and Vice Chancellor of Metropolitan University Dr. Shahida Sajjad and the management of the University, especially Mr. Mashkoor Ahmed and Director of Operations. Ms. Leila Ghulam Ali also participated in a tree plantation drive to reduce the effects of climate change.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

All the participants pledged to promote peace and brotherhood on International Human Rights Day. At the end of the ceremony, Syed Talat Abbas Shah, Chapter Leader of United for Human Rights and Youth for Human Rights International Pakistan Chapter and Vice Chancellor Metropolitan University Dr. Shahida Sajjad awarded certificates of appreciation to those who participated in the ceremony.
