B2B barter trade opens doors to synergistic partnerships

Pakistan, Iran, Afghanistan and Russia have made great progress regarding trade. The government has allowed Pak-Iran, Pak-Russia barter trade. The Ministry of Commerce issued the Business to Business Barter Trade Rules in this regard. Pakistan will now be able to export goods to Afghanistan, Iran, Russia through barter trade. According to the SRO issued by the Ministry of Commerce, Pakistan will be able to import crude oil, LNG, LPG from Iran and Russia under barter system. Pakistan will be able to export meat, fruits, vegetables and rice to these countries. Pakistan will also be able to export textile products, perfumes, cosmetics, surgical instruments, cutlery and sports equipment. Under the barter system, fruits, vegetables, pulses, minerals, metals and coal can be imported from Afghanistan. Pakistan will be able to import crude oil, LNG and LPG from Iran. Chemical products, fertilizers, fruits, vegetables, spices can also be imported from Iran. Pakistan will also be able to import crude oil, LNG and LPG from Russia. Wheat, pulses, industrial machinery can also be imported from Russia under the barter system.
