The Islamabad High Court declared the summoning of Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi in the NAB against the law in the Tosha Khana case. The Islamabad High Court, while dealing with the petition of Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi, said that the call-up notices of NAB have no legal status.
Chief Justice Amir Farooq and Justice Babar Sattar of the Islamabad High Court issued a verdict on the summoning petitions of Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi in the Tosha Khana NAB investigation case.
The court, while dealing with both the petitions against the NAB summons notices, declared the summons notices against the law.
The Islamabad High Court while dealing with the application of Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi said that NAB’s call-up notices have no legal status.
The court said that the notices of February 17 and March 16 are not in accordance with the law. Needless to say, that according to the law NAB is free to issue fresh notices, there is no restriction on NAB to send new notices according to the law.
It should be noted that NAB had summoned former Prime Minister Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi in the Tosha Khana case, on which both challenged the summoning notices in the Islamabad High Court.
