Imran demands inquiry into death of complainant in Wazirabad attack case

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan demanded an Inquiry into the death of SHO Amir Shahzad who was the complainant of the first information report (FIR) registered against the Wazirabad attack.
As per details, the PTI chief Imran Khan said in a tweet that the slain SHO registered an FIR against the assassination attempt on me in Wazirabad.
He said that the investigation of the Wazirabad attack was going on by the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) and the SHO Amir Shahzad was an important witness to unveil the suspects involved in the assassination attempt.
The PTI chairman Imran Khan said that the record of the JIT constituted to probe the murder attempt, was also tempered.
He maintained that with respect to this case, past events like the murder of Dr Rizwan, Maqsood Chaprhasi and others should also be seen as a reference.
Earlier, the Station House Officer (SHO) Amir Shahzad, who was the complainant of the first information report (FIR) registered against the attack on Imran Khan, died of a ‘heart attack’.
The case of the assassination attempt on Imran Khan was registered in the City Wazirabad police station on the statement of the deceased policeman.
It is pertinent to mention here that Imran Khan and several other PTI leaders were injured after a man opened fire near the PTI reception camp at Allahwala Chowk during the party’s long march.
In the shooting on PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s container in Wazirabad, a party worker was killed and six people including the former premier were injured.
