Iran yet to confirm attendance at Islamabad Talks: information minister

Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar said Pakistan is awaiting a formal response from Iran regarding confirmation of its delegation for the peace talks with the United States in Islamabad. He stated that Pakistan, acting as a mediator, remains in constant contact with Iranian authorities while actively pursuing diplomacy and dialogue between the relevant parties. According to his post on X, the US-Iran ceasefire is set to expire at 4:50am PST on April 22. Tarar added that Pakistan has made sincere and sustained efforts to convince the Iranian leadership to attend the second round of talks scheduled in Islamabad.
