Romania lauds Pakistan’s Role in Middle East Ceasefire Efforts

Romanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Oana Țoiu has appreciated Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts in promoting peace and stability in the Middle East during a recent telephonic conversation with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar. In a statement issued after the call, the Romanian foreign minister said she had a detailed discussion with Ishaq Dar on the evolving regional situation, particularly in light of the recently held Islamabad Talks. Both leaders emphasized the urgent need to restore stability and security across the broader Middle East. They also agreed that creating conditions for the reopening of the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz for unhindered naval traffic remains a shared priority. The Romanian foreign minister reaffirmed her country’s readiness to support ongoing mediation and de-escalation initiatives, while continuing close coordination with regional and international stakeholders.
