Instagram Down in Pakistan as Thousands Report Outage

ISLAMABAD: Users across Pakistan experienced widespread disruption on Instagram on Wednesday, with thousands reporting problems accessing the platform. Many users said they were unable to send or receive direct messages, while others reported difficulties loading their feeds or even opening the app. According to outage monitoring site Downdetector, the disruption began around 7:10 AM (Pakistan time). More than 13,000 complaints were recorded 71% related to app failures, 20% linked to server connection problems. Remaining reports involving login and messaging issues The problem was not limited to Pakistan. Users in the United States, Europe, Canada and parts of the Middle East also reported difficulties using Instagram. Reports suggest that direct messaging (DM) was among the most severely affected features during the outage. Parent company Meta Platforms has not yet released an official explanation for the disruption or confirmed when services will be fully restored. Meanwhile, frustrated users have been sharing their reactions on other social media platforms. Possible Causes Technology experts say such outages are often caused by: 1. Server overload 2.
