Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi visited the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates and met with UAE Ambassador to Pakistan Salem Muhammad Salem Al Zaabi. During the meeting, bilateral relations, investment opportunities and promotion of mutual cooperation were discussed in detail. On this occasion, the Emirati Ambassador also presented a gift of dates for distribution among the deserving people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on behalf of his government. The two sides reiterated their commitment to further strengthen the long-standing, brotherly and friendly relations between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates. Speaking on the occasion, Ambassador Salem Muhammad Al Zaabi said that the religious, cultural and historical ties between the two countries are very strong. He said that the UAE is the second home of Pakistanis where about two million Pakistanis are serving in various sectors and are playing an important role in the development of the UAE. He added that the UAE needs skilled and technical manpower in various sectors, and the arrival of trained people, especially from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, can prove beneficial for both countries. Governor Faisal Karim Kundi said that there are vast investment opportunities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in minerals, energy, agriculture, tourism and other sectors. He invited Emirati investors and businessmen to invest in the province. On this occasion, the governor also formally invited the Emirati ambassador to visit Peshawar.
