Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani of the Islamabad High Court, while making important remarks during the hearing on the husband’s appeal, has said that the gift given to the wife cannot be taken back. Yesterday, the Islamabad High Court heard a petition filed by citizen Muhammad Shaban. During the hearing, Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani clarified that taking back a gift after giving it is not a correct practice. The court remarked that “This is a matter of spitting and licking, a gift given cannot be taken back, there is no such tradition, Islam also does not allow it.” Later, the court reserved the decision on the husband’s appeal.
