Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has invited Austrian businesses and companies to expand their investments in Pakistan, particularly in priority sectors that offer win-win partnerships between the private sectors of both countries. He was co-chairing a CEOs Forum in Vienna alongside Austrian Federal Chancellor Christian Stocker, bringing together leading Austrian and Pakistani companies. The forum featured companies operating in renewable energy, energy efficiency, industrial manufacturing and construction, information technology, textiles, surgical equipment, leather and sports goods, healthcare, tourism and hospitality, as well as food and agro-industries. In their remarks, both leaders underscored the vast potential for enhancing bilateral trade and cooperation, especially in artificial intelligence, digital technology, and other key sectors. The Prime Minister also extended an invitation to Austrian companies to visit Pakistan and participate in the upcoming EU-Pakistan Business Forum scheduled to be held in Islamabad in April this year. Later, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif addressed the Pakistan-Austria Business Forum organized by the Austrian Chamber of Commerce (WKO), reiterating Pakistan’s commitment to providing a business-friendly environment and facilitating foreign investors.
