Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has felicitated the Independent Group on securing a clear majority in Pakistan Bar Council elections. In a statement, he congratulated Ahsan Bhoon and Azam Nazeer Tarar on being elected as members of the Pakistan Bar Council. He also greeted Independent Group for achieving a clear majority across Pakistan. The Prime Minister said the trust of the legal community in the Independent Group is proof that lawyers are seeking serious and responsible leadership for the resolution of their problems and the supremacy of the Constitution and law. He said Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar always strives to resolve the problems of the legal community. Shehbaz Sharif said the Law Minister has always been directed not only to stay in touch with the lawyers, but also to play a role in providing them with their rights on a priority basis. He said the government considers the legal community as an important pillar of the state and it will continue to extend every possible cooperation to strengthen harmony between the Bar and the Bench.
