Speaking to senior journalists on November 25 about the country’s security situation, the DG ISPR shared that during the current year, Pakistan has carried out 67,023 intelligence-based operations, including 12,857 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and 53,309 in Balochistan. Lt. Gen. Chaudhry highlighted the challenges of border security, noting that the KP-Afghanistan border spans 1,229 kilometers across rugged terrain, with 20 official crossing points. He added that in some areas, the distance between border posts stretches up to 20 to 25 kilometers, making effective monitoring a significant challenge.
