Pakistan Army, citizens form a united front against terrorism, says DG ISPR

Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry has stated that Pakistan has implemented strong and effective measures against terrorism and extremist groups. He underlined that the Pakistan Army, together with the people, stands as a “solid wall” against any external aggression. Addressing an interactive session with teachers and students from universities and religious seminaries in Mardan, General Chaudhry highlighted Pakistan’s ongoing efforts to maintain peace and stability across the country. The session was attended by participants from Abdul Wali Khan University, Women University Mardan, University of Engineering and Technology, and several madaris. During the discussion, the DG ISPR spoke on a range of key issues, including counter-terrorism operations, recent tensions along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, and the broader security situation in the region. He assured the audience that Pakistan’s armed forces are fully prepared to defend the country’s sovereignty and safeguard its citizens from any threats. Students and teachers paid tribute to the sacrifices of Pakistan’s soldiers and martyrs, saying that the DG ISPR’s remarks helped clear misconceptions about the military and reinforced appreciation for its role in ensuring national security. The participants also acknowledged the positive role of the Pakistan Army in national development and countering disinformation spread through social media. “We have learned how anti-state elements try to spread propaganda against our country and armed forces,” one student noted. The session concluded with a message of unity and resilience. The students vowed to stand shoulder to shoulder with the Pakistan Army in safeguarding the country’s peace, security, and stability.
