The newly appointed members of the Governing Body of the Workers Welfare Fund (WWF) have reaffirmed their commitment to improving investment strategies and ensuring the effective implementation of educational, housing, and other welfare projects for the workers community. They were addressing the introductory meeting, which was held in Islamabad with Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development, Chaudhry Salik Hussain in the chair. The members pledged to leave no stone unturned in providing practical facilities to workers. Welcoming the members, Federal Minister Chaudhry Salik Hussain said that the Workers Welfare Fund is committed to ensuring transparency and the timely completion of welfare projects for the workers community. He emphasized that the government is taking all possible steps to provide maximum facilities to workers and their families. He further said that all financial resources of the Fund are being utilized for the welfare of workers in line with international standards. He remarked that the primary objective is to initiate projects that set a benchmark for future generations, with the experience of the Governing Body members directly benefiting the workers community. During the meeting, WWF Secretary Zulfiqar Ahmed presented proposals for the formation of new committees, which were unanimously approved. Chairman of the Governing Body, Nadeem Aslam Chaudhry, gave a detailed briefing to the members on various matters, including policy issues and responsibilities under the Workers Welfare Fund Ordinance 1971, in light of national and international requirements. The new members were also briefed on the ongoing projects of the Fund.
