Acting President, GB Governor discuss matters of mutual interest Governor Gilgit-Baltistan Syed Mehdi Shah called on Acting President Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani in Islamabad today. During the meeting, matters pertaining to political situation, law and order situation and party affairs came under discussion. The Acting President and the Governor reviewed the ongoing relief and reconstruction activities in Gilgit-Baltistan following the recent floods and heavy rains that caused widespread damage in the region. Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani expressed concern over the losses suffered by the people and emphasized coordinated efforts by federal and Gilgit-Baltistan government institutions to ensure early rehabilitation of the affected families. The GB Governor briefed the Acting President about measures being taken to provide relief to the displaced persons and restore essential services. He thanked the Acting President for his keen interest and support for the people of Gilgit-Baltistan.
