Chinese Charge d’Affaires visits NDMA, briefed on flood relief and rescue operations.

Chinese Charge d’Affaires in Pakistan, Shi Yanqiang, visited the National Emergencies Operation Centre (NEOC) at the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA). During the visit, the NDMA team briefed him on the recent flood situation and ongoing relief and rescue operations. Chairman NDMA, Lieutenant General Inam Haider Malik, provided a detailed briefing on the measures being taken in flood-affected areas, highlighting the coordinated strategies and joint efforts with provincial and regional institutions. The Chinese diplomat was also informed about the relief and rehabilitation measures underway in the affected regions. NDMA further briefed him on disaster preparedness, weather monitoring, and the use of modern technology to ensure effective early response. Shi Yanqiang appreciated NDMA’s timely and effective response, describing Pakistan’s disaster management capabilities as exemplary. He also assured full cooperation from the Chinese government to support flood victims in Pakistan.
