Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced to impose agriculture and climate emergency in the country following devastating floods across the country which destroyed standing crops on hundreds of thousands of acres of land. PM Shehbaz Sharif made the announcement while addressing a federal cabinet meeting at PM House in Islamabad on Wednesday. The prime minister said so far over 1,000 people have been killed in the floods and the provinces will have to play a role in conjunction with the Federation to compensate for the immense losses the farmers have suffered. “The agri losses will be counted and the cabinet will discuss it,” he added. About terrorism, Shehbaz Sharif said “We have to identify terrorists and those who spread sedition and get rid of them once for all”. Eradicating terrorism and Fitna are our national and political duty, the prime minister said and added, “Thanks to the sacrifices of the Pakistani Armed Forces, we are breathing in a free atmosphere. The Pakistani nation is proud of its martyrs.”
