Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and PML-N President Nawaz Sharif visited their ancestral graveyard with other members of the Sharif family. Nawaz Sharif, Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, and other members of the Sharif family offered Quran recitation and prayers for the deceased, also laid flowers on the graves of their parents and Begum Kulsoom Nawaz and other deceased. On this occasion, a gathering was also held to celebrate the birth of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), in which naat and qiraat were recited. After the gathering, special prayers were offered for the peace and progress of the Muslim Ummah and Pakistan, for those who died in the floods, and for the martyrs of the country.
