Equipping industries with skilled workforce and modern technology top priority: PM Shehbaz

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has reaffirmed that strengthening industries through modern technology and skilled manpower to boost export-led growth remains the government’s foremost priority. Chairing a high-level meeting on the National Industrial Policy, he emphasized that industry holds a central role in enhancing exports and driving sustainable economic development. During the briefing, the Prime Minister underlined that the government is working on a priority basis to increase industrial output and provide long-term solutions to challenges faced by the sector. He directed that all stakeholders be consulted thoroughly in formulating the National Industrial Policy to ensure inclusivity and effectiveness. The meeting was attended by Federal Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal, Federal Minister for National Food Security Rana Tanveer Hussain, Federal Minister for Economic Affairs Ahad Khan Cheema, Federal Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan, Federal Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan, Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Muhammad Aurangzeb, Federal Minister for Power Sardar Awais Ahmad Leghari, Minister of State for Finance and Railways Bilal Azhar Kayani, representatives of leading chambers of commerce and industry, along with senior government officials.
