Justice Mohsin also writes for contempt action against malicious campaign

Another letter has emerged from the Islamabad High Court, calling attention towards a growing trend of malicious campaigns against the judiciary. Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani has also written a letter to the IHC chief justice, urging him to initiate contempt of court proceedings against those involved in the alleged smear campaign. This development follows a similar letter sent by Justice Babar Sattar to the chief justice of the Islamabad High Court just yesterday, indicating a concerted effort among judges to address what they perceive as an attack on the integrity and authority of the judiciary. According to sources within the judiciary, Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani emphasized the urgency of taking action against the individuals responsible for spreading misinformation or engaging in activities deemed contemptuous towards the court. On Monday, responding to Justice Sattar’s letter, the high court took an important decision over the social media campaign against the judge. The court announce to initiate contempt of court proceedings against the alleged malicious campaign against Justice Sattar. According to sources, Justice Babar Sattar had written a letter to IHC Chief Justice Aamir Farooq over a social media campaign against him. Upon which, the court decided to convert the letter into a contempt of court case.
