Khan refuses meeting with senior officials in Adiala Jail

The founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan has denied meeting high-ranking officials inside Adiala jail. Speaking to journalists in a formal talk, Khan said that the PTI Central Information Secretary Raoof Hasan has been given task to take on board all the parties other than PML-N, PPP and MQM-P. Discussing the February 8 election, he said that a rigged election will create further instability in the country as well as hurt the economy. On government formation, he said that an agreement has not been reached to nominate the candidate for the post of prime minister. However, the PTI founder said that Ali Amin Gandapur has been nominated for post of chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The former prime minister resolved to approach the Supreme Court against the election results, saying that the Feb 8 election were the most-rigged election in Pakistan’s history. The PTI is working to bring together all parties that are protesting against the rigging, he said, while reiterating that free and fair election was the only solution to the country’s problems. Khan also denied of plans to shift to his Islamabad’s Bani Gala residence.
