The national repatriation initiative has witnessed the voluntary return of around 468,929 Afghan nationals from Pakistan by January 15. The ongoing effort reflects a collaborative endeavour to address the complex challenges faced by illegal Afghan immigrants in Pakistan. On January 15, 778 Afghan citizens bid farewell to Pakistan, marking a milestone in the repatriation campaign. This group included 214 men, 143 women, and 421 children, symbolizing a diverse cross-section of the Afghan population opting for the journey back to their homeland. The comprehensive operation comprised the deployment of 42 vehicles, facilitating the return of 72 families to Afghanistan. The focus of this concerted effort is to ensure the safe and voluntary repatriation of Afghan nationals, addressing both humanitarian concerns and migration issues.
