A team from the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has extensively questioned Imran Khan, the former prime minister and current chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), in the £190 million settlement case. Sources indicate that the team, led by Assistant Director Mohsin Ali Khan, conducted a thorough interrogation at Adiala Jail, where Imran Khan is currently held in a cipher case. The questioning, ongoing since November 15, focuses on the alleged involvement of the PTI chairman in the £190 million case. Imran Khan, seeking bail in the matter, faces charges related to the Al-Qadir Trust case as well. It’s worth noting that the NAB initiated an investigation against Imran Khan and his wife, along with others, regarding the alleged acquisition of extensive land in the name of Al Qadir University Trust. This purportedly led to a loss of £190 million to the national exchequer. The charges further allege that the former prime minister and other accused individuals adjusted Rs50 billion, equivalent to 190 million pounds at the time, sent by Britain’s National Crime Agency (NCA) to the government. Imran Khan has recently approached the Supreme Court seeking bail in connection with the £190 million case.
