Japan observes 74th anniversary of atomic bombing

In Japan, 74th anniversary of the atomic bombing on Hiroshima is being observed on Tuesday.
Hiroshima city was hit by a US atomic bomb at the end of World War II.     
Delivering speech at annual memorial ceremony, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe stressed the importance of continuing efforts to realize a world free of nuclear weapons.
He said Japan is committed to serve tenaciously as a mediator between nuclear weapon states and non-nuclear weapon states.
