Mexico (DP News Correspondent) The 76th Independence Day of Pakistan was commemorated in a simple and dignified manner by Pakistan Embassy in Mexico on 14th August 2023. The Independence Day celebrations commenced with a ceremony at the Embassy of Pakistan in Mexico D.F the capital city of Mexico.<\/span><\/p>\n

A large number of Pakistani community members, including Kazim Raza Najfi, a religious leader and profound member of Pakistan community along with Mr. Sheraz Secretary were also present to grace the occasion. <\/span><\/p>\n

The Pakistani Ambassador to Mexico SHOZAB ABBAS in his address touched upon the historic significance of 14th August and recounted the sacrifices and struggles which led to the creation of Pakistan<\/span> He urged the Pakistani community to abide by Quaid-e-Azam\u2019s principles of Unity, Faith and Discipline. He paid tribute to the countless sacrifices that Pakistani armed forces, police personnel and ordinary citizens have made for the nation. On this occasion the national anthem of Pakistan was also presented by Kazam Raza Najfi.<\/span><\/p>\n

Pakistani Ambassador to Mexico Shozab Abbas has been serving as Ambassador to Mexico since July 2023. He was Born in 1969 and holds a degree of M.Sc in Geology. He joined the Foreign Service of Pakistan in 2001 and served at Headquarters as a Protocol Officer from 2002 to 2003 after that he served as Assistant Director in 2005 and Director in the year 2009 till 2018. He was Director General from 2018 to 2020. He was also on deputation in the President\u2019s Secretariat from 2009 to 2011 as Director.<\/span><\/p>\n

He served at Pakistan Mission Doha from 2006 to 2009 then in London from 2011 to 2014. After that he was in Beijing from 2014 to 2017 and as the Ambassador to Ethiopia from 2020 to 2023.<\/span><\/p>\n
