Former finance minister Miftah Ismail on Saturday resigned from his positions in the PML-N, making official \u201cwhat is already true and move on\u201d and voiced his intent to no longer remain active in electoral politics. In the resignation letter, Ismail said: \u201cGiven the upcoming reorganisation of the party structure, I think it\u2019s time for me to make official what is already true and move on.\u201d \u201cI therefore tender my resignation as General Secretary of PML-N Sindh and also resign from all party committees,\u201d he said in the letter addressed to PML-N Secretary-General Ahsan Iqbal. Miftah then proceeded to thank the party leadership for entrusting him with responsibilities \u201cnot only in the party but also in the government\u201d. \u201cThe party Quaid Mian Nawaz Sharif and President Mian Shehbaz Sharif have been most kind and considerate with me over the years.
