Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in New York, US, on Tuesday to represent Pakistan and highlight the plight of the flood victims in the country at the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
\nThe premier announced his arrival in the US on his official Twitter handle and said that he will tell Pakistan\u2019s story “of deep anguish & pain arising out of a massive human tragedy caused by floods,\u201d during his UNGA address on September 23.
\n\u201cIn my address at UNGA & bilateral meetings, I will present Pakistan’s case on issues that call for [the] world’s immediate attention,\u201d he added.
\nThe premier will attend the reception of the UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres today and will also meet French President Emmanuel Macron.
