The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) is said to have endorsed Pakistan Cricket Board\u2019s (PCB) hybrid plan for hosting the Asia Cup in September.
\nPakistan will host four to six Asia Cup matches, according to the hybrid model given to the ACC by PCB Management Committee Chairman Najam Sethi. Simultaneously, India will play its matches in a neutral venue that will also host other matches.
\nAccording to sources, the Asian body has accepted in principle the hybrid model offered by Najam Sethi, with no additional requirements.
\nAccording to this hybrid model, Pakistan will host four to six matches, with the other matches taking place in neutral venues such as Sri Lanka or the United Arab Emirates.
\n\u201cHowever, all of the details will be finalised at the ACC meeting, which will be held soon,\u201d the insider stated.
\nThe 2019 Asia Cup and Pakistan\u2019s participation in the Men\u2019s ODI World Cup have been jeopardised as the Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI) refused to tour Pakistan for the aforementioned competition on political concerns.
