Minister for Interior Rana Sanaullah said on Friday that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan is a \u201cLadla\u201d who is being facilitated but the government despite reservations will accept court decision.
\nRana Sanaullah said that the government will abide by the court verdict and ruled out discussion on imposition of emergency in the country.
\nSanaullah accused the judiciary of facilitating Imran Khan and he is being welcomed, whereas new resources are being invented to facilitate him. This facilitation will not only be for the \u201cLadla\u201d but for everyone else too, he said adding that situation would have been brought under control in a day or two if there wasn\u2019t facilitation yesterday.
\nOn Thursday speaking during the program titled Redline and Talat, the interior minister warned that those planning to head to Islamabad High Court (IHC) tomorrow for Imran Khan will be stopped.
\nHe said that Imran Khan assured the court that his workers would not accompany him to tomorrow\u2019s proceeding.
\nThe minister expressed his grave concerns over the prevailing state of affairs, stating that the current situation is pushing the country towards anarchy and chaos.
\nCriticising the violent protests by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) activists, he stated that matters would not be resolved through table discussions or court proceedings but rather on the streets, a scenario he hoped would not come to pass.
\nThe interior minister criticized the chief justice of Pakistan (CJP) over his exchange of greetings with Imran Khan, who he said was charged with corruption of Rs60 billion.
\nHe stated that the remarks by CJP were not befitting of his esteemed position.
\nHe stated that such conversation had put a shadow of partiality over the court\u2019s authority, raising questions about the integrity and fairness of the judiciary.
\nAdding to the tense atmosphere, the interior minister warned that severe consequences await those who attempt to approach the IHC tomorrow (Friday), implying possible punitive measures against demonstrators or protestors.
\nHe claimed that the people did not respond to Imran Khan\u2019s protest call following his arrest and asserted that people would not go to Islamabad too where the former premier is set to appear before the court.
\nSanaullah emphasized the need to identify and address \u2018fitna\u2019, arguing that failure to do so would plunge the country into an era of anarchy.
