Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday left for the United Kingdom on a three-day official visit to represent Pakistan at the coronation ceremony of King Charles-III.
\nIn a tweet, the Prime Minister said the UK-Pakistan relations are rooted in shared history and multifaceted bonds that have grown stronger over the decades.
\nHe said the British monarch and the royal family have been great friends of Pakistan.
\nThe Prime Minister will also use the opportunity to attend the Commonwealth leaders’ summit as well as engage with other world leaders bilaterally.
\nAccording to sources, the prime minister will also meet Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif in Britain during the visit.
\nMr Sharif will inform his brother and former PM of country\u2019s political, economic and party\u2019s situation during the meeting.
\nIt should be noted that negotiations are underway between the government and PTI to end the political crisis.
\nEarlier, a 10-member contingent of Pakistan Army had arrived in Britain to participate in the coronation parade of King Charles on Saturday, May 6.
\nThe Pakistan Army contingent reached the British Army Training Center Pirbright and began rehearsing for the parade.
\nThe parade will be held in honor of King Charles, who ascended to the throne following the passing of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II.
\nThe Pakistan Army contingent will be among the many military units and organizations from around the world taking part in the parade.
\nThe Pakistani troops will showcase their skills and participate in the parade, which is expected to attract a large audience.
\nNotably, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will also undertake a visit to the United Kingdom to attend the coronation of Briatian\u2019s King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla on May 6.
