Federal Minister for Climate Change Senator Sherry Rehman has urged the masses to take action to protect our planet and work towards a more sustainable future.
\nIn a series of tweets, the federal minister wished Eid greetings to the nation and shared her thoughts on World Earth Day which was celebrated across the globe under the theme \u2018Invest in Our Planet\u2019.
\nSenator Rehman said climate change is a global crisis that is directly affecting our planet and lives.
\nThe Minister added that indiscriminate use of land resources was causing pollution and other environmental problems.
\nShe underlined the need to prioritize investing in renewable energy, sustainable agriculture, elimination of plastic, climate-friendly lifestyles and forests to protect the earth.
