Senior civil judge Bakhar on Wednesday granted bail to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Ali Amin Gandapur\u00a0in check post attack case.
\nAs per details, the PTI leader was brought to the court of a senior civil judge in strict security. The judge after hearing the arguments of Gandapur\u2019s lawyer granted bail to the PTI leader and also quashed non-bailable sections from the case.
\nThe PTI leader has been asked to submit a surety bond of Rs50,000 for his bail.
\nOn Tuesday, a Sargodha anti-terrorism court on Tuesday quashed terrorism charges against Ali Amin Gandapur.
\nOn April 8, a case was registered against the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Ali Amin Gandapur at Islamabad\u2019s Golra police station under section 7 of the Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA).
\nGandapur, a former federal minister, was arrested from outside the Peshawar High Court\u2019s D.I. Khan bench last week.
\nThe ATC judge announced the verdict after police produced the Gandapur in the court and sought a 14-day extension in his physical remand in the checkpost attack case.
\nDuring the hearing, police said the vehicle used by the former minister in the attack was yet to be recovered. The PTI leader\u2019s lawyer also submitted his arguments.
\nLater, the judge announced his reserved verdict, dropping terrorism charges against the political leader and handing him over to police on one-day transit remand.
