Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Senior Vice-President Fawad Chaudhry Sunday insisted there is no way in Pakistan except implementing the Constitution while commenting on the ongoing political crisis in the country.
\nAddressing a press conference in Lahore\u00a0Fawad Chaudhry said that there is no way in Pakistan except implementing the Constitution while commenting on the ongoing political crisis in the country.
\nFawad Chaudhry claimed that over 2,000 people were arrested in the ongoing crackdown against PTI workers. \u201cPeople are being picked and rendered missing from Lahore. Azhar Mashwani went missing,\u201d he added.
\nHe pointed out the Punjab government\u2019s \u2018steps to curtail PTI\u2019s power show\u2019, saying that the entire city was blocked with containers. \u201cThe entry and exit routes of Lahore were closed,\u201d he added.
\nHe warned that the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) led government will have Pakistan added to the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) list again.
\nMoreover, Fawad said that all eyes were now on the Supreme Court (SC). He added that the government is now doing politics based on fear. \u201cWe are asking you to do your own politics and let us do ours too,\u201d he urged.
\nTaking over the presser, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Secretary-General Asad Umar praised party\u2019s workers and supporters for showing up at the rally\u2019s venue Minar-e-Pakistan despite \u2018all the obstacles\u2019, saying that the coming week will be turning point in Pakistan\u2019s history.
\nThe former planning minister said that the people of Lahore came out despite fear, arrests and containers placed across the city.
\nAsad Umar also lambasted the incumbent government for mishandling the country\u2019s economy, saying that the nation was suffering after the incumbent rulers were imposed on them. \u201cPeople are losing their lives while queueing up to get flour,\u201d he added.
