Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directed to constitute a special cabinet committee to devise the strategy to eliminate power theft, line losses and solarization of tubewells.
\nChairing the cabinet meeting in Islamabad today, he directed the Power Division to take immediate departmental action against the officials guilty of power breakdown in the country on 23rd January this year.
\nThe inquiry report on power breakdown was submitted to the cabinet. The report says that human negligence and defects in the power transmission system are the main reasons for this breakdown.
\nThe meeting was also informed that the Kot Addo Power Company, which has the Black Start facility, but the contract for this power plant has expired.
\nTalking to the participants of the meeting, the Prime Minister said that the nation is waiting for those responsible for this major incident to be punished for their serious negligence.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
