Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and former prime minister Imran Khan on Wednesday welcomed the Supreme Court (SC) verdict on Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) polls and announced the suspension of the \u201cJail Bharo Tehreek\u201d.
\nTaking to Twitter, the former premier said the party was suspending its \u201cJail Bharo Tehreek and moving forward with election campaigns in KP and Punjab\u201d.
\nIt was the responsibility of the Supreme Court to uphold the Constitution and they have valiantly done that through their judgment today. It is an assertion of Rule of Law in Pakistan,\u201d the PTI chairman wrote in a tweet.
\n\u00a0Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leadership on Wednesday hailed the SC verdict and termed it a \u201cvictory for the Constitution of Pakistan\u201d.
\nSpeaking to media outside the court, PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry said that two SC judges had objected to the decision but \u201call five judges in bench agree that polls must be held within 90 days.\u201d<\/p>\n
