Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) senior vice president Maryam Nawaz\u00a0on Saturday said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan would be held accountable for Toshakhana gifts and concealing information regarding his alleged daughter Tyrian Jade White in his nomination papers for the 2018 elections.
\nAddressing a workers\u2019 convention in Islamabad, the PML-N senior vice president criticised Imran Khan over a \u2018secret meeting\u2019 in President\u2019s House, saying that now the PTI chief should be worried as his \u2018selectors\u2019 have left for home.
\n\u201cThey [selectors] not only have left for home but were also regretting their decision to bring you [Imran Khan] into power in 2018,\u201d Maryam Nawaz claimed.
\nResponding to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf\u2019s (PTI) claims, Maryam said that \u2018selected people\u2019 are afraid of election, and PML-N is not. \u201cWe are ready for elections,\u201d she said, adding: \u201cPTI\u2019s tenure \u2013 filled with lies and conspiracies \u2013 is now over.\u201d
\nShe also lambasted the previous government for \u2018destroying\u2019 the country\u2019s economy, saying that everyone knows who brought the inflation and that the people were suffering from the incompetence of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
\n\u201cThe previous government did nothing but create problems for the people of Pakistan\u201d, the PML-N leader said, adding that the development projected was being completed rapidly under the leadership of Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif.
\nEarlier in February, Maryam Nawaz blamed Imran Khan for skyrocketing inflation in the country due to his agreement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
\nMaryam Nawaz, while addressing PML-N Workers Convention in Multan, said Kashmir will become part of Pakistan one day. She saluted the Kashmiris and their martyrs for the struggle for self-determination.
