Advisor to the Prime Minister on Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan Affairs Qamar Zaman Kaira says the PTI Chairman Imran Khan is spreading chaos in the country through baseless statements.
\nTalking to a private media channel, he dismissed rumors of Pakistan’s bankruptcy and assured that the economic situation is expected to improve in ‘a few weeks’ time\u2019.
\nQamar Zaman Kaira urged the PTI Chief to play his constitutional role by staying in assemblies and remaining part of the political process.
\nTalking about postponement of local bodies elections in Islamabad, he said carrying out the Court’s decision to conduct the elections within 12 to 14 hours was almost impossible.
\nHowever, the PM\u2019s adviser, noted that the country would not default as the economy was heading towards right direction. \u201cThe Dollar was now stable after our government came into power,\u201d he said, adding that friendly nations also helped to stabilise the country\u2019s economy.
\nQamar Zaman Kaira said efforts were underway to fulfill demands of Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P), assuring that matters with the \u2018ally\u2019 would be resolved soon.
\nThe PPP leader also said that local government (LG) elections should be held in Islamabad.
