Chief of Defence Forces and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir stressed the need for sustained training, development of indigenous capability and operational preparedness to tackle evolving security threats and emerging challenges, the military\u2019s media wing said on Thursday. CDF Munir made the remarks during a visit to the Special Services Group (SSG) headquarters in Tarbela, where he was briefed on \u201cspecialised training, operational preparedness and mission-oriented readiness\u201d, according to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR). During the visit, he laid wreaths at the martyrs\u2019 monument, paying tribute to the martyred SSG personnel, the statement said. He also witnessed a display of \u201cstate-of-the-art specialised equipment and a demonstration showcasing SSG\u2019s combat proficiency, agility and precision in executing special operations\u201d. According to the statement, in his interaction with the officers and troops, CDF Munir lauded their \u201cprofessionalism, high morale, and unwavering devotion to duty\u201d.
