Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said provision of every possible facility to overseas Pakistanis is government’s top priority. Chairing a meeting in Islamabad today to review progress on revamping of consular services by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he said overseas Pakistanis are our valuable asset. The meeting was informed that a QR code-based system has already been introduced to simplify the process for Power of Attorney, property purchase and sale and document attestation to facilitate the overseas Pakistanis. The Prime Minister welcomed the digitization of the complaints registration system through QR code for overseas Pakistanis and directed that the QR code be prominently displayed at Pakistani embassies to improve accessibility. He directed that a dedicated awareness campaign be launched for overseas Pakistanis regarding the complaint registration system so that the maximum number of people can benefit from this mechanism. The meeting was informed that an evening shift has recently been introduced at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ office in Islamabad for the convenience of the people. In addition, document attestation services have also been launched at the Asaan Khidmat Centre in Islamabad. Besides introducing a courier-based attestation service, the Ministry has integrated its system with the databases of Higher Education Commission (HEC), Inter Boards Coordination Commission, NADRA and National Police Bureau, making the attestation process faster.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
