Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has alleged that the Taliban have turned Afghanistan into an \u201cIndian colony,\u201d accusing the group of allowing militant elements to operate from its soil. In a post on social media platform X, the minister said that following the withdrawal of NATO forces, it was expected that Afghanistan would move towards peace and stability, focusing on the welfare of its people and regional harmony. Allegations of Proxy Role However, Asif claimed that instead of promoting peace, the Taliban had gathered militants from various parts of the world and facilitated what he described as the export of terrorism. \u201cPakistan made every effort to keep the situation normal, directly and through friendly countries. However, the Taliban became a proxy for India,\u201d he stated. \u2018Decisive Response\u2019 to Aggression The defence minister said Pakistan\u2019s security forces had delivered a decisive response to what he termed aggression from the Afghan Taliban.
