Speaking to the media in London, Tarar said that rumours about offering concessions to the PTI founder were unfounded. Addressing concerns regarding the former prime minister’s health, he stated that the issue related to his eye condition had been unnecessarily sensationalised. “It was our responsibility to ensure proper medical care, and that responsibility has been fulfilled. His health is now fine and the issue has been resolved,” Tarar said. He added that medical experts had examined the PTI founder and briefed party leaders about his condition. He also urged PTI not to politicise health matters. Referring to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s recent visit to Austria, Tarar said the premier co-hosted a high-level business forum attended by leading companies from both countries. He highlighted investment opportunities in textiles, mines and minerals, stating that the visit would open new avenues for trade and investment. According to Tarar, the visit is expected to further strengthen bilateral relations between Pakistan and Austria. He also mentioned that during an event in Vienna, Prime Minister Shehbaz delivered part of his speech in German, which was warmly received by the Austrian leadership and audience. Meanwhile, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi contradicted the minister’s claims, saying the government had not fulfilled PTI’s demands. Speaking outside KP House in Islamabad, Afridi said the party’s requests had been misrepresented. He clarified that PTI had not demanded any medical report but had asked that the party founder be allowed to consult his personal physician, meet family members, see an eye specialist, and receive treatment at Shifa International Hospital. “Our demands are constitutional and legal,” Afridi said, questioning why the government was not allowing access to the former prime minister’s personal doctor. On the other hand, PTI announced that its sit-in protest would continue due to ongoing concerns about the former prime minister’s medical condition, particularly his eyesight. The protest, led by parliamentary members and the opposition alliance Tehreek-e-Tahafuz-e-Ayin-e-Pakistan (TTAP), entered its fifth day amid sustained political tensions.

Information Minister Attaullah Tarar has firmly rejected reports suggesting any deal or special concessions with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), calling such claims baseless and speculative.
