Pakistan\u2019s security forces have killed 15 Fitna-al-Khawarij militants in two separate intelligence-driven operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the military\u2019s media wing said on Monday. According to the ISPR, the first operation was launched in the Kulachi area of Dera Ismail Khan after the presence of militants was confirmed through intelligence sources. During the engagement, troops targeted the militants\u2019 hideout and shot dead 10 Khawarij fighters, including their ringleader, Alam Mehsud. In a second intelligence-based raid in Datta Khel, North Waziristan, security forces eliminated five additional militants belonging to the same network. Sanitisation of the surrounding areas is underway to track down any remaining militants reportedly backed by India. The ISPR said that Pakistan\u2019s ongoing counterterrorism drive \u2014 Azm-e-Istehkam, approved by the Federal Apex Committee under the National Action Plan \u2014 will continue with full intensity to eradicate foreign-sponsored terrorism. Earlier, on October 24, Pakistani forces had also neutralised eight Fitna-al-Khawarij militants in an operation in Lakki Marwat, KP. The operation, carried out on October 24 in Wanda Sheikh Allah area of Lakki Marwat, resulted in killing of eight Fitna Al Khawarij and left five others seriously injured, security officials confirmed.
