Pakistan\u2019s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has sounded the alarm about the \u201cdisastrous consequences\u201d of Western support for Israel, calling on Muslim states to unite against the occupying regime. The senior Pakistani official said in a message posted on X on Monday that Western countries\u2019 all-out support for the unruly Tel Aviv rulers will lead to the spread of conflicts in the region, with its \u201cdisastrous consequences\u201d spilling across the borders of West Asia. \u201cThe world should be cautious and concerned about nuclear-armed Israelis, who do not adhere to any of the international nuclear regulations and the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), and have not signed any other binding agreement,\u201d he said. \u201cThe Western World should be concerned about the conflicts that are being caused by Israelis, these conflicts will engulf the entire region and beyond, so their support for Israel, a rogue [regime], could have disastrous consequences,\u201d he added. Pakistan\u2019s former defense secretary has commended the retaliatory Operation True Promise lll against the Israeli-occupied territories as a \u201csource of pride\u201d for the regional countries and the Muslim world. In an open session of the Pakistani parliament, the parliamentarian minister condemned the Zionist regime\u2019s recent aggression against Iran and asserted that Pakistan stands by the Islamic Republic of Iran and will continue to cooperate with it in international forums. He also reiterated the need for unity in the Islamic world against Israel, adding that Pakistan will defend Iran\u2019s interests. Representatives of the Senate and National Assembly of Pakistan also unanimously passed separate resolutions condemning the crimes of the Zionist regime in the Islamic Republic of Iran and simultaneously declared their solidarity and support for the government and people of Iran. The Pakistani defense minister called on all Muslim states to cut ties with the Tel Aviv regime over the strikes on the Iranian military, nuclear, and civilian targets and take a united global stance against the Israelis. He warned that failing to act collectively would only encourage further attacks across West Asia. Speaking in the National Assembly on Saturday, Asif argued that Israel \u201cdid not act alone\u201d and had received \u201cintelligence, cover, and support.\u201d He said the Muslim world remained \u201cmilitarily vulnerable\u201d and urged a joint response. \u201cJust as Israel is currently targeting Yemen, Iran, and Palestine, if the Muslim world does not unite today and continues to prioritize its own interests and agendas, then everyone\u2019s turn will come,\u201d he told lawmakers. Condemnations continue to pour in from neighboring Pakistan, where Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and his cabinet ministers have vowed to defend Iran\u2019s interests on all international platforms. Asif called for the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to convene and devise a strategy to confront Israel. \u201cWherever there are diplomatic ties with Israel in the Muslim world, they should be severed,\u201d he said. \u201cWe stand behind Iran and will support them at every international forum to protect their interests,\u201d the defense minister added. On Friday morning, Israeli jets bombed military and nuclear sites across Iran and carried out assassinations of several senior Iranian military commanders and veteran nuclear scientists. In response, Iran launched multiple ballistic missiles at Israeli cities, including Tel Aviv. While the US denied involvement, President Donald Trump endorsed Israel\u2019s aggression.
