Capital territory administration on Saturday pleaded Islamabad High Court (IHC) to dismiss the PTI\u2019s plea for NOC to hold public meeting and sit-in.
\n\u201cPTI chairman Imran Khan faces serious threat to his life, we could not allow the party to hold sit-in or public meeting,\u201d federal capital administration said in a miscellaneous petition to the high court.
\nIslamabad administration has pleaded to the high court to dismiss the PTI\u2019s plea seeking a no objection certificate (NOC) for the protest.
\n\u201cThere are reports about serious threat to the life of Imran Khan,\u201d the plea read. \u201cA man died and scores of people including Imran Khan were injured in an attack on his container,\u201d according to the request.
\n\u201cThe attacker has been arrested and disclosed reasons of the attack in his confessional statement,\u201d the administration stated.
\n\u201cThere are apprehensions that such religious fanatics could repeat the act again in Islamabad.\u201d
\nJustice Aamir Farooq heard petition against the federal government for delaying NOC issuance for the party\u2019s Islamabad sit-in.
\nThe petition stated that the party applied for NOC for November 6 and 7 to the Islamabad administration for the \u2018Haqeeqi Azadi\u2019 march but the issuance was delayed instead.
\nThe court was requested to order Deputy Commissioner Islamabad to issue NOC for sit-in.
\nJustice Aamir Farooq had reserved the verdict and said that an \u2018appropriate\u2019 decision would be made.
