President Asif Ali Zardari has voiced serious concern over India\u2019s increasing religious extremism, warning that the rise of the Hindutva ideology poses a significant threat to the entire South Asian region. Speaking at the Aiwan-e-Sadr during a meeting with Pakistan People\u2019s Party (PPP) leaders and workers, President Zardari extended Eid greetings and acknowledged the contributions of party members. Zardari expressed grave concern over the treatment of minorities in India, particularly Muslims and Christians. He stated that Muslims face discrimination and oppression despite having deep historical, religious, and cultural roots in the subcontinent.
