Ihsanullah, who is set to represent the Multan Sultans’ departmental team, JDW, in this season’s President Cup Grade 2 tournament, will use the opportunity to regain his full fitness and form. The pacer is scheduled to play for JDW during April and May, while also utilizing Multan Sultans’ state-of-the-art facilities. Ali Tareen expressed his commitment to supporting Ihsanullah’s return to peak form, emphasising that Multan Sultans will collaborate closely with the bowler to help him make a successful comeback to the Pakistan Super League (PSL) next year. Ihsanullah will undergo intensive training at the Multan Sultans Academy in Lodhran, under the expert guidance of the team’s fast bowling coach, Catherine Dalton. Ali Tareen added, “Ihsanullah is an asset for both us and the nation. We are committed to providing every possible support to restore his fitness and form.” He further emphasised that talents like Ihsanullah are rare, stating, “Fast bowlers of Ihsanullah’s caliber are born once in a generation. Ihsanullah, who was one of the most notable players to go unpicked during the PSL 10 player draft, had initially expressed his disappointment at being overlooked and vowed not to participate in the tournament again. However, the 22-year-old pacer clarified that his decision was made in the heat of the moment and that he had no plans to retire. “It’s just that you know, the franchises did not pick me, and I was upset with the masses and my family. That’s why I made the decision emotionally,” said Ihsanullah. “I wouldn’t make that decision again. I will work hard, and there are four months until the PSL. By the will of Almighty Allah, those who did not select me will pick me later on. So, I have no plan to retire. My statement was influenced by emotions,” he added. Ihsanullah, who gained attention in PSL 8 for his impressive pace, taking 22 wickets at an average of 15.77 and an economy rate of 7.59, also addressed concerns regarding his bowling speed. He shared that he is consistently bowling at an average of 135 km/h.

Multan Sultans’ owner, Ali Tareen, extended an offer to fast bowler Ihsanullah following a direct conversation with the player.
