{"id":192,"date":"2022-09-01T14:08:44","date_gmt":"2022-09-01T14:08:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.diplomacypakistan.com\/?p=192"},"modified":"2022-09-01T14:08:44","modified_gmt":"2022-09-01T14:08:44","slug":"pm-shehbaz-extends-fuel-charge-adjustment-exemption-to-300-units-of-electricity-consumption","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.diplomacypakistan.com\/?p=192","title":{"rendered":"PM Shehbaz extends fuel charge adjustment exemption to 300 units of electricity consumption"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday extended the exemption for fuel adjustment charges (FAC) in August\u2019s billing to consumers who use under 300 units of electricity.<br \/>\nThe exemption, originally announced on Aug 23, previously applied only to consumers of 200 units of electricity or less.<br \/>\n\u201cThis will cover 75 per cent of the consumers across the country,\u201d the premier said of the revised exemption as he addressed a meeting with PML-N lawmakers in Islamabad.<br \/>\n\u201cIn the first stage, power users consuming 200 units [or below] were given an exemption and the government was bearing a burden of Rs21 billion [for that].
